From acclaimed Celebrity Chef Govind Armstrong, The Lobster's American seafood menu is crafted from his passion for fresh, locally acquired ingredients used to create his award-winning lobster, seasonally inspired seafood dishes, and the broad selection of tantalizing gourmet fares earning The Lobster the prestigious Michelin Plate Restaurant award since 2019. The Lobster’s menus are sure to satisfy even the fussiest of foodies.

The expansion of The Lobster’s footprint to a second story in 1999, 25 years ago this year, opened up its vista to a breathtaking 190° panorama view that spans the Santa Monica Bay all the way up the Malibu’s extended coastline. Overlooking the famous Santa Monica Pier enhances the sumptuous dishes, and great service, making The Lobster a destination dining experience not to miss.

Celebrity Chef Armstrong from Bravo TV’s hit show Top Chef Masters brings both depth and breadth of experience to The Lobster, with a history that spans decades and includes time in the kitchens of some of the world’s most famous restaurants from Wolfgang Puck’s original Spago in West Hollywood, to Arzak, a three-star Michelin restaurant in San Sebastian, Spain.

The appetizer (charred octopus), lobster, lobster mac and cheese, and dessert (chocolate truffle cake) were very good! The truffle cake was moist and not too sweet.
The restaurant was very classy, and the view was beautiful.

The bartenders and chefs were amazing! All of the drinks and food were delicious. It was also fun to watch the hustle and bustle of everyone going to the pier.
